Kate Boundy
Production Executive
Kate joined Voltage in 2013 and is responsible for the day-to-day managing and support of Voltage’s projects, including Inside the Factory (BBC Two) and DNA Journey (ITV). Before joining Voltage, Kate worked as a Production Manager for over 10 years with multiple indies, including the ground-breaking natural history series The Burrowers (BBC Two) for Dragonfly Film & TV.

Lucy Carter
Executive Producer - Bristol
Lucy is an award-winning executive producer of documentary and specialist factual series with credits including, Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC Two), The Mekong River with Sue Perkins (BBC Two), Hunters of the South Seas (BBC Two) Kate Humble: Living with Nomads (BBC Two), Ian Hislop’s Not Forgotten (Channel 4) and The World’s Most Expensive Food (Channel 4). At Voltage, she heads up our regional base in Bristol, as well as oversees the company’s long-running ratings hit Inside the Factory (BBC Two).

Lucy Carter
Executive Producer - Bristol

Helen Docherty
Director of Development
Helen oversees Voltage’s development slate. A member of the team since day one, she has played a role in all commissions at Voltage including Inside the Factory (BBC Two), DNA Journey (ITV) and the BAFTA-nominated film One Deadly Weekend in America (BBC Three). Helen started her career in the BBC’s science unit where she developed and produced a number of award-winning factual series.

Helen Docherty
Director of Development
Helen oversees Voltage’s development slate. A member of the team since day one, she has played a role in all commissions at Voltage including Inside the Factory (BBC Two), DNA Journey (ITV) and the BAFTA-nominated film One Deadly Weekend in America (BBC Three). Helen started her career in the BBC’s science unit where she developed and produced a number of award-winning factual series.

Amanda Hibbitts
Head of Production
As Head of Production, Amanda is responsible for the budgeting and delivery of all Voltage productions. Before joining Voltage, Amanda worked with Sanjay and Steve at Dragonfly Film & TV, where she was responsible for managing production of the company’s most ambitious and successful shows, such as One Born Every Minute, The Hotel and The Plane Crash (Channel 4).

Amanda Hibbitts
Head of Production

Ariane Howie
Head of Development
Since joining the Voltage development team in January 2020, Ariane has played a key role in securing a number of commissions; including The Trial of Louise Woodward (ITV), Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job (BBC One) and Tempting Fortune (Channel 4). Prior to joining Voltage, Ariane spent seven years at Twofour, where she helped to develop series including; The Real Marigold on Tour (BBC One), Win The Wilderness (BBC Two) and Confessions of a Junior Doctor (Channel 4).

Ariane Howie

Since joining the Voltage development team in January 2020, Ariane has played a key role in securing a number of commissions; including The Trial of Louise Woodward (ITV), Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job (BBC One) and Tempting Fortune (Channel 4). Clemmie Pollard
Personal Assistant
Clemmie joined Voltage in April 2023 to oversee and manage the diaries of Sanjay and Steve and is the go-to person for all queries relating to them. As part of the office team with Ailish, she also assists across all productions, company administration as well as manages the Voltage website and social media. Prior to joining Voltage, she worked as a runner on a variety of shows, and was the Director of Social Media for a company in Buenos Aires. Clemmie completed a Masters in TV Journalism at City University, London, and graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in French and Spanish.

Steve Nam

As co-founder and MD at Voltage, Steve is responsible with Sanjay for the overall strategic direction of Voltage TV and oversees production, finance, commercial and business affairs and all operational aspects of the company. Prior to that, Steve spent over 10 years at the BBC where he ran the co-production division, subsequently joining Sanjay at Dragonfly Film & TV as Chief Operating Officer.

Sanjay is an award-winning executive producer with more than 25 years’ experience of programme-making.
At Voltage he has overseen a wide-ranging slate including the BAFTA nominated feature doc, One Deadly Weekend in America (BBC Three), The British Tribe Next Door (C4) Our DNA Journey, Life Inside Jail (ITV) and Inside the Factory (BBC Two).
Before that he spent nearly 15 years at the BBC, and was MD of factual indie, Dragonfly Film and TV.

Sanjay Singhal
Chief Executive
Sanjay is an award-winning executive producer with more than 25 years’ experience of programme-making.

Janine Terry
Production Executive
Jan joined Voltage in 2018 having worked with a number of Indies on shows such as Big Brother (Channel 4), Going Cold Turkey (Channel 4), Gypsies (Channel 5) and Drugs Live (Channel 4). Jan has led some Voltage’s most exciting projects, such as Bin Laden; Road to 9/11 (Channel 4) and The British Tribe Next Door (Channel 4).
